Long Live Punjab, Punjabi and Punjaabiat

In early 90's my father was posted at Power Supply Station at Bhucho Mandi, Hotbed of outlaw's (Neighbouring Village Poohla was so called Headquarter) during bad days. I had seen the exchange of fire between forces and the outlaw's from inside the PSEB colony in the fields outside. I was brouht up in happy way, us being a joint family so that was not my kind of Punajb and it made me sad .. Then I penned down my thoughts in the form of these line's..

then rest of the lines came after all the dust settled and normalcy returned.

Kujh samay layee hoyee c bandh wanjhli dee awaaz kudey,
hun lagda fer ton ho geya mera punjab abaad kudey,
hun trinjanee charkhe chalde ne, kudiyan jhurmaat paundeeyan ne,
hun fer ton judeeyan nanad-bharjayeeyan mahiye tappe gaundeeyan ne,
gabru mele janey nu, hun fer ton hai gadde nu shingaarda,
mele jatt aaunda hai, dubara bann turle wali damame marda,
hun waderey fer saathan wich behndey ne, sundey khabran votan vich jit haar deeyan,
naale seef deeyan baajeeyan kheddey ne, karde gallan ghar baar deeyan,
hath jod arjoyee karda, malka chauke wala preet ve,
rakheen bachake ehnu jag kolon, lagan naa nazaran sansar deeyan.

Long Live Punjab, Punjabi and Punjaabiat. These lines are my tribute to the "Never Say Die " spirit of Punjabis.
